Best hotels in Dubai: Full ranking 2025

delano dubai

In a city with over 135,000 available hotel rooms, choosing the best hotels in Dubai is a real challenge. From gleaming Italian-designed skyscrapers to authentic Arabian desert resorts, the options are many and varied. We've removed all doubt and picked our personal favourites, suitable for all types of travellers. Here's our verified selection of the best hotels in Dubai.

How we choose the best hotels in Dubai

Each hotel on this list has been independently selected by the editors and submitted by a journalist of the Condé Nast Traveller (a prestigious travel publication) who knows the destination well and has personally stayed at the establishment. In our selection, we look at luxury properties as well as boutique and lesser-known places that offer an authentic and in-depth experience. We're always looking for striking design, excellent location and a warm welcome - as well as a serious commitment to sustainability. This list is updated regularly as new hotels open and existing ones evolve.

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai

This is the newest place to be and be seen in Dubai. Emerging from the ocean like a futuristic superhighway, the much-anticipated Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is the latest element of Jumeirah's maritime trilogy, joining the undulating Jumeirah Beach Hotel and sail-shaped Jumeirah Burj Al Arab on the city's most desirable stretch of beach. Despite the size of the property - 300 rooms, 86 suites and 82 serviced residences - a special effort has been made to create a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. The lobby is divided into areas partly hidden by mesh mashrabiya screens, centred in an impressive Viennoiserie bakery, the work of celebrity chef Pierre Hermé, where the rows of exquisite pastries look almost too beautiful to eat. Rooms at Marsa Al Arab are inspired by vintage Riva boats from Italy, with unobtrusive nautical details and balconies overlooking the Burj Al Arab or the hotel's marina and the curve of Kite Beach beyond. Amenities feature products by Votary and celebrity stylist Rossano Ferretti, and all rooms have Dyson hairdryers.
Marsa's 15 restaurants and bars offer unlimited dining options, but the most interesting is The Fore, dubbed Dubai's first "transformative dining venue". Four distinct restaurants - the Japanese Umi Kei, inspired by the art of kintsugi; the Asian Madame Li; the cosy Mediterranean brasserie Mirabelle and The Bombay Club, curated by renowned Indian chef Manav Tuli - are transformed in the mornings through movable panels and hidden walls into a single space serving some of the best breakfast in the city.

Delano Dubai

delano dubai
Delano's debut in the Middle East takes place on Bluewaters Dubai, the man-made island also known for the world's largest Ferris wheel. This hotel has the potential to be just as groundbreaking as the original Delano in Miami. Unlike most of Dubai's five-star hotels, awash with marble and chandeliers, the Delano relies on clean and elegant interiors, and its scale creates a sense of comfort and calm.
Forget the usual 'standard room' or 'sea view room' here - the rooms have romantic names like Rising Light and Waking Eclipse, which reference the wide horizons and watery panoramas; something less common in Dubai than you might think.
Rose Bar may not offer the same opportunities to meet Hollywood stars as its Miami counterpart, but it perfectly recreates the atmosphere of a decadent speakeasy bar. Restaurants are entrusted to local group Rikas Hospitality, with noteworthy ones being Blue Door, with coastal Anatolian cuisine, and Maison Revka, where French and Slavic flavors mingle.

Banyan Tree Dubai

Making the most of its beachfront location at the northernmost tip of Bluewaters Island, Banyan Tree Dubai is a carefully curated resort with an impressive spa. As well as excellent French and Asian restaurants set amongst the hotel's mature gardens, you'll find further dining and drinking options along the beach promenade between Banyan Tree Dubai and its 'sister' property Delano Dubai, making this resort a great choice for connoisseurs of culinary experiences.
The resort is suitable for families - it offers excellent facilities for children, as well as for couples looking for peace and discretion during a holiday or weekend stay. The hotel's stylish pool, with its striped orange and white, is a wonderful place to relax and escape city life.

One&Only One Za'abeel

the one and only Zabel
One&Only One Za'abeel is an impressive new addition to Dubai's already recognisable skyline. The hotel is located in one of two imposing towers connected by a suspension bridge called The Link, a three-level boulevard that houses a number of Michelin-starred chef restaurants.
On the rooftop, fashionable couples enjoy the lapping waters of a suspended infinity pool and views of gardens, desert and the Burj Khalifa. The deck, dotted with planted olive trees, is serviced by Peruvian-Japanese Tapasake, and there's no shortage of opportunities for new experiences at Kerzner's first urban "vertical resort." Clinique La Prairie's three-story Longevity Hub wellness center, a Balinese multi-level pool amid greenery, and a graffiti-adorned tunnel that hides Spanish culinary wizard Dabiz Muñoz's famed StreetXO restaurant.
The rooms at One&Only One Za'abeel impress with a feeling of spaciousness: high glass walls lead the eye to the horizon. The interior design by Jean-Michel Gatti is in shades of light sand, grey-brown and gold, while silk carpets soften the marble floors.
Guests in the corner suites can choose between Urban, Sanctuary or Creative room themes, each with unique amenities ranging from a conference table to a massage bed to a luxury audio system.
The most unforgettable? Waking up to the pink glow of the sunrise at the foot of the bed; the magic of the curtains parting on the glass and steel, revealing the view from the corner suite; the panoramic view of Dubai light from the Sphere cocktail bar at The Link; the view... the view... the view.

The Lana, Dorchester Collection

A private Rolls-Royce Phantom is parked outside the entrance, and porters in top hats and tails greet guests - yet arriving at The Lana remains a discreet and unobtrusive experience. This is the Dorchester Collection's first hotel in the Middle East and a symbol of Dubai's maturity - the group behind iconic properties such as The Dorchester in London and the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles chose to bring its distinctive concept of restrained, elegant luxury here.
Architecture firm Foster + Partners designed the 30-storey, 225-room hotel around impressive views: the circular Marassi Marina stretches out in front, its inky blue waters reflecting the lights of the skyscrapers at night, with the majestic Burj Khalifa in the background. In a city often associated with excess, The Lana showcases the power of a measured aesthetic - sofas are covered in pale pink velvet and elevators are lined in pink leather with a wavy texture.
At the Riviera restaurant, the young French chef Jean Imbert, famous for succeeding Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, creates a culinary odyssey inspired by the coastal cuisine of France and Italy. At Jara, Spanish chef Martin Berasategui serves up Basque classics - a fair accolade after his restaurants have been awarded a total of 12 Michelin stars.
Dubai's first Dior spa opened a month ago - the latest piece of The Lana's already revolutionary puzzle.

Address Beach Resort

With its gleaming keyhole-shaped glass façade rising 77 storeys above one of the city's most popular beach areas, Address Beach Resort is a true star in Dubai's skyline - from Dubai Marina to Ain Dubai. On its rooftop is the world's tallest infinity pool (certified by Guinness World Records), from which the view is simply spectacular - on a clear day you can see the entire city and the top of the Burj Khalifa more than 20 kilometres away.
Guests can choose between six different room types - with marina or sea view, with or without balcony, and four categories of suites (one, two or three bedrooms). All rooms feature the modern, clean style characteristic of all Address hotels - snow-white bedroom sets, natural light woods, elegant cream wardrobes and soft carpets in navy blue shades.
Culinary experiences range from relaxed poolside lunches at The Beach Grill, to sophisticated Chinese cuisine at Mott 32, to an energetic atmosphere and mix of Lebanese and Brazilian cuisine at Li' Brasil. The hotel's location is excellent for walks to Bluewaters, Dubai Marina or JBR, with easy access to a host of bars, restaurants and attractions.

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

The hotel that put Dubai on the world map, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, continues to impress with its distinctive sail-shaped silhouette and extravagant interiors filled with gold elements, marble and personalised service for every guest. The suites are spacious and sophisticated, the hotel offers a private beach, a helipad, and a host of gourmet restaurants such as Al Muntaha and SAL. The experience here is luxurious in every way.

Atlantis The Royal -Palm Jumeirah

Atlantis the royal hotel dubai
This new and remarkable Palm Jumeirah icon impresses with architecture and design worthy of a masterpiece. The rooms and suites are polished to perfection, many with spectacular views of the Gulf. The hotel offers some of the finest restaurants headed by world-renowned chefs, such as Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Nobu by the Beach. Highlights include 17 swimming pools, a private beach and an impressive spa.

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf
It remains a real surprise that even today, on the 99-acre (40-hectare) Madinat Jumeirah estate in Dubai, one can find a place that seems untouched and secret - especially as this Arabian palace oasis with four hotels along two kilometres of private beach overlooking the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2024.
Staying at one of the newly renovated Malakiya Villas at Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf is like stepping into your own kingdom. Guests can choose between seven self-contained two- or three-bedroom residences - including the impressive 650-square-metre (7,000-square-foot) Royal Malakiya Villa. Each villa has its own private pool and terrace, and arrival is along a quiet waterfront walkway with abras amid man-made tropical lagoons.
The interior is a harmony of soft grey and cream tones, leather, silk and bouclé - all complemented by stylish paintings of an impressionistic nature. In the master bedroom, the bed is so high and luxurious that once you're settled (like a true princess), you won't want to leave the white sheets even for breakfast.
A team of economists is available 24/7 via WhatsApp and appears imperceptibly with perfectly prepared cocktails or small "jewels" for afternoon tea. A truly royal experience.

One&Only The Palm, Dubai

One&Only The Palm Resort attracts a diverse audience from all over the world - guests from Dubai itself as well as visitors from Europe and Asia. The hotel creates the feeling of a true oasis of calm - whether you're lounging by one of the magnificent pools or relaxing in a room equipped with a Bose sound system.
The spacious bathroom, fitted with Acqua Di Parma products, is almost as large as the bedroom itself. It's so spacious that AdP cosmetics come in full-size vials, not tiny travel packs.

Address Sky View

Address Sky View
The name of this hotel suggests its main advantage - the incredible views it offers: from almost every point you can see the Burj Khalifa and the iconic skyline of the city. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that all 169 rooms enjoy breathtaking panoramas.
The bed linen is crisp and smooth and the European design is clean, required and extremely luxurious. Rooms are extremely spacious and have all the amenities expected of a five-star hotel, including smart TVs with free satellite access.
Marble in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a bathtub, shower and double sinks, enhances the feeling of luxury, while leather chairs add a touch of opulence and comfort. Service is of a five-star level with a friendly and welcoming attitude and attention to detail.

Armani Hotel Dubai

armani hotel dubai
Inside the world's tallest building, Giorgio Armani's first hotel is as glamorous as you'd expect from the Italian designer. With a total of 160 rooms in 11 different sizes, the rooms vary but are all relaxed and sophisticated with furnishings in chocolate, taupe and grey hues. High-tech iPads control the lighting and curtains, and the branding is strong.

Raffles the Palm Dubai

This magnificent hotel is a real palace, as if out of a fairy tale. From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by the supercar-lined lobby that sets the tone for the glamour inside. It's a stay guests won't easily forget. Rooms, which are the most spacious in the emirate, are designed with regal elegance. Decorated in platinum or golden hues, each room features a glittering chandelier, private balcony and exquisite marble bathroom with bathtub, shower, double sinks and luxurious toiletries.

Bab Al Shams, A Rare Finds Desert Resort, Dubai

Bab Al Shams
Bab Al Shams unfolds gradually - its sandstone façade, inspired by traditional Emirati fortresses, almost blends in with the date palms and dunes all around. In a city where everything is large-scale and luxurious, this desert resort impresses with restraint and style.
For nearly two decades now, UAE residents have taken a 45-minute journey along Al Qudra Road, passing man-made lakes and horse races to celebrate special occasions amid the peace and tranquillity of Bab Al Shams. The famous infinity pool 'pours' directly into the desert, and sunsets transform the dunes into a fairy-tale landscape lit by lanterns and torches.
After an impressive 10-month renovation, the resort is part of the Rare Finds Hotels & Resorts collection. The exterior design remains true to the local architecture, but the interior spaces have been refreshed - brighter, with exquisite detailing in sepia and brass, light Arabian accents and decorative mosaics.
Al Hadheerah's main outdoor restaurant space impresses with Arabic cuisine and evening performances - dancers, musicians and authentic culinary rituals. A quieter atmosphere is offered by the Mediterranean Zala or the pan-Asian Anwā.
The new spa includes men's and women's green marble hammams and treatments with local natural cosmetics. A stroll through Al Marmoom Desert Reserve reveals the UAE's rich nature, from sand dunes and camel herds to gazelles, moors and the first migratory flamingos of the season.
Bab Al Shams remains a magnetic getaway from the city and a true oasis of harmony in the desert. Read more about Bab Al Shams in our special article.

Palazzo Versace Dubai

At this glamorous Italian palace, radiantly blackened couples come to experience a stay with the Versace emblem. Deluxe and premium rooms are a fresh alternative to the neutral colour palette that dominates so many other Dubai hotels. The bathroom features Roman-inspired mosaics on the walls, and complementary tiles adorn the marble floor. You'll probably want to take home as many of the Versace-branded toiletries you house in your carry-on luggage as possible.

Bulgari Resort Dubai

Bulgari Resort Dubai
Bulgari stands out for its location on its own artificial island in the shape of seahorses and its low architecture, which contrasts nicely with the towers that dominate the city everywhere. This is thanks to the Milanese architects who designed the hotel to divide two bays - one a quiet beach with villas, the other a modern yacht club with numerous restaurants and the Bulgari Yacht Club - a first of its kind for the brand.

ME Dubai

In a city of 160,000 hotel rooms, it's increasingly difficult to stand out. But here we have the world's only hotel designed entirely inside and out by the late great Zaha Hadid - an accolade that speaks for itself. 'The Opus', a gleaming glass structure pierced by an amorphous cavity, resembles an ice cube melting in the Middle Eastern sun. Its curves are fluid and its vision organic and futuristic, with a sense of being inseparable from the architecture itself.
The ME by Meliá group adds an artistic character with a gallery for temporary exhibitions and public spaces decorated with paintings. The brand's Spanish roots are subtly present - cosmetics and spas from Natura Bisse, tapas at Central restaurant, creative cocktails from Madrid's famed Salmon Guru.
But ME doesn't rely on bowing to its own traditions or even to the city's Arabic motifs - an impressive departure in the UAE, where "modern Arabia" is often the preferred style. ME makes its own rules.
